29.5 weeks

Today: May 10th, feeling like I've gained too much weight the past week! Hoping it's just a 'growth spurt.' DONE work since yesterday! Wearing my favorite outfit.

First free day I sewed a skirt (without pattern) to try to look like my favorite one and hopefully be as comfortable...quite pleased with the result.

Long time no post...

Here I am at nearly 29 weeks feeling mostly pretty good! My last day of work is Monday and I am looking forward for that. I decided this is one instance where I will allow myself to "be a wimp." Normally I would say, "I can do this, I can hold out." But nope. Not this time. Not worth it. ESPECIALLY not when I get paid nearly 100% for being at home. The last week of work has been quite tiring. After 2 hours I am worn out. My stomach starts hurting from all the bending. From tomorrow on I go with my replacement and she gets to do the hard stuff (furniture moving, living up chairs, mopping).

I am just worried that I won't be moving around enough when I stop and that I'll gain extra weight. I know I shouldn't be worried about that, but I just want to keep it under control and this past week I have had a harder time eating healthy. Hopefully the weather will hold out and I can go walking and biking. On Easter Monday I biked 23km! I was very proud of myself! Only my tushie was sore from the seat, but nothing else!

We finished cleaning up the office last week, so now it is ready for the baby! I would like to add some more decorations, but that isn't essential. We are supposed to get a 2nd crib from my other SIL :P I figure our room is big enough, so why not have one in there as well?

I can't remember if I posted that the dr had me do an extra test for some kind of infection...well, I never got a call from the lab, so I'm assuming everything was ok with that and my glucose test!

I am not sure if I ever said it, but I don't plan to find out what I am having...the hubby would like to, but I want this one to be a surprise! I kind of have a feeling that it is a boy. First, because my husband watched the ultrasound where the screen was turned from me, so he thinks he saw something. Secondly, our 3 couples friends all had/are having a girl, so I figure 4/4 is too great of odds ;P

OH! I think we FINALLY have names! This was something major for us! Funny thing was both were suggestions from people. The girl name was suggested by 2 different people (they don't yet know that we liked it...) and the boy name was suggested, but I had already seen it and liked it and was trying to warm the hubby up to the idea.

Ok, long enough update (aka enough procrastinating).

Updates

Work
I think I am done working the end of next week. Sooner than expected, but I am sooo looking forward to it. More info about how it got moved a month earlier is on my other blog. *edit* I still will be done in the next 2 weeks, but I have to go to the doctor with my boss and the doctor will confirm that the work is too much for me and ask my boss if there is something else for me to do, she will say no and then I will be put on a pre-maternity leave with 80% of my pay. Sounds good to me!Diapers
I know some think I am crazy, but I would like to try cloth diapers, mainly for the savings (I figure since I am not working, I should try to be very careful with the $) and 2ndly for all the good things I have heard about cloth diapering. I bought 3 'non-folded' on sale for 5 euros, so I figured that was no major investment and then I bought all these 2nd-hand for 50 euros. I was excited. She had 22 other ones (same as the newborn ones I bought: pre-folded, non-waterproof) ranging from size S-XL for 1 euro each. I now wish I would've bought them! I think I should contact her! I just was overwhelmed at the moment trying to decide.I have 5 newborn, 11 AIO (all-in-one) for 4-10 kilo (newbornish-1 year), and 30 absorbent liners.Doopsuiker/Birth Announcements
I have started collecting to make the little gifts and announcements...

26/27 weeks *warning* long post

"Us 3"
I would like to frame some of these photos. We went to the beach in Nederland with the family. 25.5 weeks
Wearing all 'normal' clothes. I love the skirt mom sent!
Everything is still going good. I went to the doctor yesterday and everything was fine. It was a new doctor that neither of us really liked. She did not have much personality and did not explain much. Last time the ultrasound was fascinating, because we could see so many details, this time we were lost. It was mainly FUZZ! Only one time could we clearly see an arm and hand. One thing was a little strange. She said I needed to do another urine test, because sometimes there can be an infection without symptoms. While I was in the bathroom, my hubby asked the woman doing the test if this was normal and she said, 'no' and that maybe the doctor saw something? I will know if the lab calls that something is up.

Only ultrasound photo. Nearly 27 weeks. Baby is looking to the right. The baby's room is almost done. Hubby FINALLY sorted through his stuff in there. We threw away a black garbage back of junk and have 3 full banana boxes for the container park. It is nearly ready for our guests and then the baby (and GRANDMA!).

I did my measurements and was happy with them. I am nearly the same everywhere, except my belly of course. I seem to have quite a stomach, but I think the whole extra 6.5 kilos are deposited there.

I was thinking that I am not really having cravings, but the one thing I LOVE is tuna sandwiches. I have always liked them, but I think I have had one every day for the past 2 weeks. A plus is that it takes a few seconds to make one. Pre-sliced bread, pre-made tuna salad, pre-sliced pickles and hopefully fresh sprouts. Yum! I also have had cornflakes with sliced banana and 2 Splendas nearly every day this week.

Baby Room

We got the furniture on Saturday from my SIL. Monday I washed it and arranged it. With the large cupboard and bed already in the room, I put the changing table in the bathroom and figured it is more logical anyways. It is a full bedroom!

I wanted to do turquoise decorations, since the walls are gray, but I do not have very much space for anything else. I am thinking about finding some wall stickers and sewing a bed set to add some color in the room.

Today I bought hangers at Ikea, so hopefully this weekend I can organize inside the cabinets everything I already have...

25 Weeks

Today was such a nice day. I worked 3 hours, then chilled for what seems to be the last hours on my computer (it won't startup), then I decided to walk to my nephew's birthday. It was 3.6 kilometers and I did it under 40 minutes. The sun was shining and it was 24 (75) degrees!

There I received presents from North America. *fun*fun* 2 skirts, 2 tops, my photobook that was sent to my mom, things I ordered and an adorable pacifier & holder.

The scale has recently been good to be and this morning it said I actually have lost a big of weight putting me at gaining 13 pounds so far.

We are 75% of the way there and thankfully still trouble free! I had my first (hopefully only!!!) leg cramp on Saturday, which was quite painful and my leg hurt until yesterday still from it, but besides that I can say pregnancy has been good to be!
